You Are

You are December’s new moon shining
Olive’s autumn harvest in the city of Jerusalem
Rembrandt’s brush on the canvas of my soul
A soothing balm in the hands of the Great Physician

You are daybreak’s fragrant coffee’s warmth
Oil falling down upon my beard
Rhythm beats moving children to dance
A cathedral filled with songs in a strange land

You are David’s minstrel harp soothing a troubled king
Olympias guarded by the warriors of Alex
Regal and eternity shall be your age
A temple and me your broken sacraments

You are filled with solemn chambers divinity hidden

And I know you, Hallelujah!
